Repealing Bill 10 | United Conservative Caucus

On October 15th, Health Minister Tyler Shandro announced that the province will be repealing Bill 10 – the Public Health (Emergency Powers) Amendment Act.

Bill 10 gave the government emergency powers to support Alberta’s pandemic response if the Legislature was unable to meet for a sustained period. Those powers have turned out to be unnecessary, so the government is wasting no time discontinuing these emergency powers. Bill 10 is expected to be officially repealed this spring.
