About

Jackie Lovely was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, representing the Constituency of Camrose, on April 16, 2019.

Ms. Lovely holds an MBA from Cape Breton University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Saskatchewan, and a diploma in hotel and restaurant administration from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. Her love of education is evidenced by her experience teaching English as a Second Language, as well as the frequent sight of her supporting the local sports teams and school districts that, like her, call the constituency home.

As a proud entrepreneur, Ms. Lovely has operated her family business for more than 25 years. Prior to serving as an MLA, Ms. Lovely worked in marketing, sales development and project coordination as well as international education. Like many other entrepreneurs in Alberta, Ms. Lovely is a community leader, having served as a member and Vice-President of the Camrose and Leduc Chambers of Commerce respectively, and as a Rotarian. This experience lends itself well to Ms. Lovely’s current role as chair of the Standing Committee on Families and Communities.

Lovely has served as the former Parliamentary Secretary for the Status of Women on Treasury Board, the Premier’s Council on Charities and Civil Societies, the Premier’s Council on The Status of Persons with Disabilities, a member of the Standing Committees on Private Bills, the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, the Social Services Cabinet Policy Committee, among many other roles.

Ms. Lovely lives in Camrose, is the proud mother of two adult children and wants to ensure that the Alberta she was given remains as good if not better for the next generation.
