MLA Ellis fought against carding and other controversial practices while on the force and in opposition. The NDP, including the former Justice Minister, Calgary-Mountain View MLA Kathleen Ganley, ignored all of his concerns.
This shows that while the NDP likes to talk about doing the right things, they are unwilling to do the hard work required to effect real change.
