(Edmonton, AB) July 14, 2025: United Conservative MLA for Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills Tara Sawyer took her oath at a swearing-in ceremony at the Alberta Legislature.
Sawyer, who won the Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills byelection on June 23, will officially take her seat when the Legislative Assembly returns this fall.
The farmer, business owner, and national agriculture advocate lives and works on her family farm near Acme and brings decades of leadership in the agricultural industry and her local community to Albertans and the United Conservative team.
“Being able to represent the great people of Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills in our province’s legislature is an honour of a lifetime,” said Sawyer. “I look forward to working for my constituents and standing up for all Albertans as United Conservatives continue to grow this province’s economy, lower taxes, and create opportunities.”
“On behalf of our United Conservative caucus, I want to welcome Tara Sawyer to our team,” said Chief Government Whip Grant Hunter. “Tara has long been a strong voice for Albertans. We are excited to have her join our team of hard-working MLAs as we work to make Alberta the best place to work, play, and start a business.”
Friends, family, and caucus colleagues joined Sawyer at the event.
