Question from MLA Jason Stephan about Alberta’s Addiction Recovery Strategy

On Monday this week MLA Jason Stephan asked about Red Deer’s new recovery community and the NDP’s legacy of a failed one pillar approach.

Our government is spending $25 million as part of Alberta’s Economic Recovery Plan to build 5 recovery communities. Recovery communities are long-term treatment facilities based on the recovery community model, used in over 65 countries around the world.

This is part of our strategy to increase access to treatment for Albertan’s so that recovery is possible for all. We are cleaning up the system of chaos that was left to us by the previous government, we have made lots of progress and we will stay laser focused on our goals.
