Scott Cyr was born and raised in northern Alberta. A graduate of the University of Lethbridge, Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in Management with a double major in accounting and finance. It was during this time Scott met his wife, Megan.

On May 5, 2015, Scott was elected to represent the people of Bonnyville-Cold Lake in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. During his term, Scott passed a private members’ bill that protects victims of non-consensual distribution of intimate images.

On May 29, 2023, Scott was elected to represent the people of Bonneville-Cold Lake-St. Paul in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
