Justin Wright was first elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly on May 29, 2023. He is
the representative for Cypress-Medicine Hat.
In 2021, Mr. Wright founded and operated Fryer Truck’s Food Inc., expanding the business to
multiple locations. Following his election, he transitioned to a silent partner role. In March 2025,
he severed his financial involvement to the company to eliminate any perceived conflict of
interest. On May 21st, 2026, Mr. Wright was sworn in as Minister of Primary and Preventative Health Services.
Active in his community, Justin coaches youth hockey, works with several local charities, and
previously served as president of the Spectrum Festival. Justin pursued public office to ensure
Alberta’s economy remains strong for future generations of Albertans, just as it was for him.
Originally from London, Ontario, Mr. Wright lives in Medicine Hat with his wife and three
children and is currently enrolled at Illinois University pursuing his MBA. He enjoys being
outdoors, and hunting and fishing.
