Brandon Lunty was elected to Alberta’s Legislature in May 2023, representing the riding of Leduc-Beaumont. He currently serves as the Chief Government Whip, Chair of the Legislative Offices Committee, and Deputy Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.
Prior to being elected, Brandon worked as a civil servant for the Government of Alberta, contributing to a wide range of policy areas, including intergovernmental relations, energy security, affordable housing, workforce development, and education.
Mr. Lunty was raised in rural Alberta and has lived and worked in the Edmonton region for most of his career. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Alberta.
He now resides in Leduc and enjoys staying active by playing hockey and taking advantage of the many outdoor recreational opportunities available throughout his riding.
Brandon was the 977th Member sworn into the Legislative Assembly of Alberta.
