About

The Honorable Adriana LaGrange was first elected to the Alberta Legislature on April 16,
2019, and was re-elected on May 29, 2023, to represent the people of Red Deer-North.

After her initial election, Mrs. LaGrange served as Minister of Education from April 30, 2019, to
June 9, 2023. She then became Minister of Health on June 9, 2023. Since May 16, 2025, she has
been Minister of Primary and Preventative Health Services, focusing on improving access to
family doctors, early intervention, and public health outcomes.

Before her provincial political career, Mrs. LaGrange was an entrepreneur, owning a trucking
company and managing a family farm, first started in 1942. She also served as a Trustee for the
Red Deer Catholic Regional School Division and as provincial president of the Alberta Catholic
Schools Trustee’s Association. Professionally, she worked as a rehabilitative practitioner for
Albertans with developmental disabilities, earning her Honors Diploma in Rehabilitative Studies
from Humber College in 1981.

A long-time resident of Red Deer, Mrs. LaGrange is deeply involved in her community and has
previously served as the president of Red Deer Pro-Life. She is a recipient of the Queen
Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, awarded in 2022 and in 2025, was awarded the King
Charles II Coronation Medal.

Mrs. LaGrange lives in Central Alberta with her husband, Darren. They have seven children and
eight grandchildren. She remains a strong advocate for the role of parents in the education and
development of children and is an active supporter of local charitable initiatives.
