Dan Williams was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta for Peace River on April 16, 2019.
Mr. Williams is currently Chair of the Standing Committee on Private Bills, and Deputy Chair of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services. He is also Deputy Government Whip.
He previously served as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Culture and for la Francophonie, and was a member of the Standing Committee on Privileges and Elections, Standing Orders and Printing.
He was Deputy Chair of the Select Special Ombudsman and Public Interest Commissioner Search Committee.
Mr. Williams and his wife, Maureen, live in La CrĂȘte, Alberta. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, climbing, and canoeing. Mr. Williams speaks French.
Prior to being elected, Mr. Williams worked at a construction and gravel company. He is proud to now represent the constituents of Peace River.
