Alberta’s Recovery Plan

Posted Under: Devinder Toor

Albertans are facing one of the most challenging times in our history. In response, Alberta’s government has acted in unprecedented ways to protect people through the worst of this crisis.

Alberta’s Recovery Plan charts a path forward for the Alberta economy as we navigate through these unprecedented times. It includes:
– $10 billion in additional infrastructure spending, which will create tens of thousands of jobs while improving Alberta’s competitiveness.
– Accelerating the Job Creation Tax Cut, moving Alberta’s business tax rate from 10 per cent to eight per cent as of July 1.
– Launching an Innovation Employment Grant, a new incentive that will attract investment and create high-paying jobs in the tech and innovation sector.

Alberta’s Recovery Plan also includes creating international offices so Alberta can attract global investment, and make Alberta the Canadian Silicon Valley.

This plan will make Alberta more competitive, accelerate economic diversification, and create tens of thousands of new jobs.

I was proud to rise in the House in support of our plan to restore the Alberta Advantage.
