Bill 52: The Recall Act

If passed, this legislation will strengthen democracy by allowing Albertans to hold elected officials accountable throughout their term, not just during elections.

The United Conservative Caucus wants to know what you think about the recall legislation that has been introduced. If passed, the legislation would allow Albertans to initiate a process that could lead to the removing and replacing elected officials, including MLAs, municipal officials and school trustees.
